Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 14, 2010 2:55 pm I am going to visit a lady up on the mountain on Monday. She needs a gardener 1 day a week to help her with her large garden….shes getting on. My old neighbour gave her my name and number and I’m going to check out how big the job will be. I have to say, I’m looking forward to doing that sort of work again in a relaxed and somewhat gracious garden. I’ll let you know how I get on, I’m a bit happy to be getting my butt out of my computer chair one day a week……… Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Gardening job…whoo hoo 2Jan 14, 2010 3:04 pm Gardening on a mountain top one day a week beats a desk job! Re: Gardening job…whoo hoo 11Jan 15, 2010 12:23 am Well kiss good bye to those soft buttery hands you most likely have Good on you Mish. I hope I have passed on some good ways to get things done. A big tick is for a mulcher to be handy so anything clipped can be put straight back on the garden Then there is no waste you need to remove either bump it up to a few days a week and you'll be back into that bikinninni like your photo showed in no time Being outside and in the open is something that is just so good, no matter how hot or how wet you get, you feel good Re: Gardening job…whoo hoo 12Jan 15, 2010 8:46 am Fu Manchu ... Being outside and in the open is something that is just so good, no matter how hot or how wet you get, you feel good Oh yeah, totally agree! In fact, for that very reason, some years ago (when I was kinda "renovating" our old garden beds) I was seriously thinking of getting into gardening for good ... but the reality was stronger My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Gardening job…whoo hoo 13Jan 15, 2010 9:00 am You know I didn’t even get a notice of replies to this thread. And that’s not the first time….need to look into that. IkonInteriors…yep Tourist Rd, and what a view!!! Won’t be posting pics, unless she’s ok with it, but somehow I think not. Sorry Fu…..where I’m going if it’s raining, it’s probably a white out. And as much as I love gardening, I will NOT be doing it in the rain or the 38 heat days. And my hands are not as soft as you must imagine, at any given time there is a callous on one or the other from hands on work. Thanks everyone!!!!
