Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Aug 09, 2014 8:25 pm Hi garden experts, I have one long raised garden bed... I have just learned about the wonders of crop rotation. I do really want to grow a mixture of families. Would it work to physically divide it into three sections? With what? I have been suggested fibrous cement sheeting, not certain if this would hold up to moisture and be safe for a food garden. Any ideas, has anyone solved a similar problem? Thanks Re: Dividing one veg garden for crop rotation 2Sep 20, 2014 11:44 am Hi CH2012, I'm sure the fibre cement sheeting would be safe, but you might check if the cement content leaches out in time to make the soil alkaline. Great idea rotation. But the fallow year can be by-passed with all the additives we have nowadays and the gardens not being acres, but just square metres If you can still get it there was a book by Coralie Whitby called Eco Gardening which had quite a few tips for organic gardening starting with the soil of course, cheers Leonardo_23 Very common on rendered homes Smaller suppliers get the lower quality raw materials 6 11869 4 14309 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81896 |
