I was busy last week and I'm getting back into it all again! I was pretty much waiting to plant some tomatoes... Pretty much after the rabbits got into the beds I neglected them and ignored them so to see some really good growth is awesome! The beds are around a part of the house that I don't go to or see really so they survived off the rains alone - evidently rabbits don't like brussel sprouts, leeks, spring onions or celery! YaY! sooooo here are some pics from last Thursday when the new ones were planted Broccolini Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Broccolini, tomatoes and existing brussel sprouts Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ More tomatoes and some basil with some leeks and celery that were already planted Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Tomatoes, Basil and spring onions Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Cherry tomatoes in a hanging basket Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Rosemary Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ok now you need to look at my brussel sprouts above and now look at this one and back to the one taken a week ago and back to this one... I'm stunned by the brussel sprouts! I also have a flower on some of my tomato plants but I might pinch that out tomorrow as they are still small plants. I forgot to mention that I've also bought some more herbs/vegies to plant which I should do this weekend but they will be in pots 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' The stakes that I used last year are about 1/4 the size that I actually need! The brocollini also mostly went straight to seed due too busy for a week or so during the humid weather to cut them. Although that's not such a bad thing as my 6 tomato plants have gone that mental that I don't have much room for anything else! Oh and the weeds have gone mental too 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' As for the Brocollini, save those seeds in a paper bag The weeds are massive, not sure I can pull them all out - sprayed lots of them though tonight And yes I know mornings are best but I just don't have the time They are flowering but can't see seeds - hrmmmmmmm 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' One of my neighbours asked me tonight if spraying them makes them easier to pull out and I told them that I leave them there to compost down to feed the soil again #spreadingtheword 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.'
