When it rains, water seeps into the stumps area. Over time this has caused minor cracks on the brick veneer and some inside wall cracks. I have been given some suggestions, such as: 1/ Flatten the area within 1 or 2 metres of the house so that the ground slopes outwards (using a bobcat) 2/ Cut down the trees that have roots creeping under the house. This is something in progress. 3/ Form a 45deg angled surface from the brick veneer to the ground so that when the water goes inwards, it gets pushed back outside 4/ Create a water drain along the brick veneer so that water can be taken away to the nearby water pipe What are some other suggestions you guys can think of? I am on a very tight budget so something low cost and efficient would be best. Thanks Re: sloping ground towards house 2Dec 18, 2009 4:56 pm Howdy all.
