Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 13, 2009 7:44 am I have bought a bunch of these to plant as a low hedge. The tag claims they grow to around 1 m. ( yes I've read sometimes they 'throw" back to the big ones) My plan is to keep the hedge pruned down quite heavily to around half that at a max. Is this practical? Any idea how far apart to plant them? Thanks Re: Fu would like some advice-re Dwarf Abelia- 2Dec 14, 2009 8:05 pm They will look great Hey post up where you got them Re: Fu would like some advice-re Dwarf Abelia- 3Dec 14, 2009 11:20 pm ok little local nursery about 13 kms from here in Boyanup. they had tubes stock in sets of 6 for 8.95. As per the pm I'll make a point of keeping any other non waterwise plants near them so I can keep them nice and moist at the same time, Very disappionted that they aren;t a wise choice given i picked something the local council is using prolifically for street plantings in the main street. Once they are in I'll post up a pic. Retaining is due to be done this weekend on saturday so if it's not too hot I'll sort the good soil conditioner out and plant them in afterwards Thanks Fu Re: Fu would like some advice-re Dwarf Abelia- 4Dec 14, 2009 11:25 pm From time to time, you'll see them stress in the heat.
