My recommendation with Yuccas is be very careful with where you plant them
I note in one of those photos that ther eis one near a path. In years to come, there won't be a path.
To prune, just lopp the top, pluck off the leaves and stick the cutting in the sun to seal up for a day or two like a frangipani. Not weeks, just days or even one hot day is good enough. Then shove it in some potting mix, nothing fancy for them. The bit left over is going to shoot multiple stems (like a shrub does when you clip it as a hedge if you have been following that thread)
Dracaenas grow much the same.
The little pink evergreen franjis (pudica), we have those in pots and they are particularly frost sensitive by the way.
