Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 14, 2009 10:53 am Hi Folks Great forum Im getting quotes for site leveling - stump removal for a 1 hectare site out of Melb. 9 Calls to 9 bobcat services netted me 9 appointments for estimates 1 kept the appointment. This may sound odd but the quote is simply too cheap 70 per hour for the truck and bobcat/ driver combined. or 1000 for 2 days/ 16hrs including removing 2 loads of stumps to the tip. No machine delivery fee. Im going to go for it as hes the only one who showed up. What are other peoples experiences with pricing This is 30 per hour cheaper then I paid 3 years ago Re: Bobcat tipper quote 2Nov 14, 2009 8:33 pm If 8 mobs didn't show up that implies to me that there is a lot of work going and they don't want the job. So your 1 that did show up probably has plenty of work too. Give him a deadline and say if it isn't done by the date he says then don't bother. If he does it on time, sounds like you're onto a good thing Re: Bobcat tipper quote 3Nov 14, 2009 10:34 pm There is a heap of pressure on right now! I am turning so much away right now. Landscaping hasn't dropped off for us or anyone we have spoken to lately. We have been flat out for the last 1.5yrs solidly and xmas this year was booked out back in late July. Now it's out till March 2010. I don't see how not showing up for a quote can help the reputation of a business. Calls I get now I mention we are booked out before I make an appointment for a quote. As for the bobcat pricing, most charge at least $80-90/hr for the combo, plus 1hr travel and tip fees. hey there! π so, itβs kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20855 I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14272 I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$.
