Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 02, 2009 10:17 pm Hi, Im about to pop in a DIY retaining wall. Its not huge, 12m x 800mm odd. I thought the Boral Heathstone Grande would be a perfect choice - looks easy to put together, looks good and can handle curve configurations. But I have noticed the difference in price per block is more than double in some states but not others. VIC and QLD - $7 bux a pop. NSW $11-$14. Maybe Boral is the wrong choice. Any suggestions on a quality block for a DIY Job? Thanks, Steve Re: Bizzare Boral Prices for Retaining wall blocks 2Nov 03, 2009 12:43 am Check ebay and Grays. They often have seconds quality heathstone for sale at good prices. It's usually minor stuff that makes it seconds. We actually lashed out and got real sandstone - seconds. My landscape guy laid it so you would never know it's not first quality. Another idea worth thinking about.
