Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 23, 2009 9:11 am Hi All, I need some advice regarding our lilydale topping driveway. From what I can gather, it was laid shortly before we purchased property. It is about 22m long x 3m wide. Over the last 2 years, we seem to have lost a large coverage of topping through 'traffic' movement. This has left us with some areas with little coverage and the nase visible. My question is, if I was to order an amount of topping to spread out, would I need to compact the whole area again? Is there any other tricks that I should perform? Or is it simply a case of purchasing & evenly spreading out over the area? Any help would be MUCH appreciated! By the way, when I am sizing up an order for topping, what would you recommend the normal 'height' I should plan for? As in 20m x 3m x ??m Re: Advice regarding lilydale topping driveway? 5Nov 12, 2009 1:23 am I did a driveway in Sasafras vic - Mt Dandenong. Fairly soft loam in winter - will easily eat a car. I put a base of 10mm down on an old old blue metal base that had more give than substance, that was enough for the flat parts. On the slope 35 degrees I used a 25mm base. It worked and lasted until the property was sold 4 years later. It has a unique character in that the more you use it, the harder it gets. The only problem you can have is rain wash erosion of the binder. After about 8 years or so you might need another half a meter to top up the ruts. Once that is done it should last for some time. I wish I had it here and not concrete on the shared driveway. i would not be signing anything on the day read your contract about when builder submits final invoice generally, have to meet builder within 7 days of receiving final… 1 4736 Hi All, Recently we have signed a contract with Burbank and we are not aware that they have just DORSET, SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, KENT, PILBARA and REDGUM bricks from PGH are… 0 3153 Thank you @.
