Erm.... just having a senior moment when I tried to edit a sentence that read a bit wrong.... All fixed now. Re: bed height againts house 27May 05, 2020 2:39 am kek OMG!!! All my garden beds are against the house.....my house is going to get eaten by termites!!!! Nah, don't sweat it, Joles...this isn't a termite-prone area. Those West Aussies have most of 'em over there. I've always had gardens around the house. Never had a slab for foundations before, always stumps and brick on concrete footings, but we kept the sub-floor vents clear and had no dramas. I figure this time around, same deal: as long as the weepholes are clear and soil is just below the damp course (yeah, kinda like it is now ), she'll be right. Love this path with garden beds: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I was actually looking for a photo of one of the old Bridgeport displays, with a raised bed under the dining window. Can't find it, but I'd love to do something similar....just not sure how they went about it. Maybe I'll stick to ground level. sorry.. it's been 11 years already. I believe and I'm still reviving this thread. I am still particular to house foundation (not the white ants).. any minimal gap between my bricks and garden bed (or raised bed if that is more structure safe to have less chance of wetting the bottom most of the ground).. 200mm? or 300MM?.. I really wanna balance structure safe and some half aesthetics.. ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7742 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says. Thanks 2 9564 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16008 |
