Our little 'After Dark' in our front corner garden is growing very well, adding about a foot of growth since we stuck it in the ground at the beginning of the year:

It came staked, and even now the rubber ties are not quite fully stretched. The problem I face is that the prevailing westerlies can be strong and it is obvious in the pic that there's a bit of a lean going on. I don't want to keep it staked forever because it will end up becoming dependant on it, right? When do I make the brave decision to let my little plant grow up all by itself?
