Hi All,
My house is nearing completion and I'm starting to think about landscaping.
Being an elevated Corner block, I need to build a retaining wall along the street side (see Pic)

I'm not keen on treated pine / coppers logs etc but having said that I'm undecided at this time as to what material to use.
I'm leaning toward conrete strip foundation and core filled Besser blocks or the Imatation Conrete Railway Sleeper.
The driveway will be on the side street pretty much in the same spot where the all weather access is now. The retaining wall will need to be intergrated and accomodate the driveway as well.
I want to bring the wall up to just below slab height so as reclaim some yard at the side of the house for the Alfresco. I will also be putting a fence on top of the wall for privacy etc. This is also another undecided question. What type of fence.
Your thoughts or any different ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any contacts in the landscaping biz in Sydney would be fantastic.
Rgds
Leonard.
