So I'm looking for suggestions on nice low-maintenance lush green plants to grow in the shade along garden beds on the side of the house. The beds are between a concrete pathway and our joint fence which is old and gappy (lots of dead bamboo leaves pushing through). The length of the bed goes right along the side of the house (approx 7 metres) and is about 60cm wide. Any suggestions? The kind of plants I like the look of from looking around garden centres are architectural style plants, like cardboard plants, zanzibar gem, bromiliads and all succulents, Agaves, rhoeo. Plus anything green with glossy leaves. Nothing cottage-style. Thanks heaps!
