Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Aug 05, 2013 2:50 pm Hi All, Just looking for some advice/help with retaining walls on my site for a newly built house. I have bought a block that has a fall of about 3 mtrs back to front. I am looking to retain either side of my property and the front. (The walls will need to be nearly 1.8 metres tall on each side) I have had a couple of quotes to do the whole lot with either concrete or timber with the quotes working out to be about 70-80k. I want to try and do this myself, and wondering if anyone had any advice about engineering and buying materials etc? I am in victoria. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers ! Re: Retaining Wall Help! 2Aug 05, 2013 4:14 pm That is a serious retaining wall. You need to discuss your options with a professional engineer and get a design done.
