Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Aug 17, 2009 12:24 pm Hi, I noticed that the local train station uses old train tracks in the upright section of their retaining walls. I was wondering why more people don't do this? Are gal H beams a better option in terms of cost or longevity? Thanks. Regards, g@z. Re: Used train track as retaining wall uprights. 2Aug 17, 2009 12:40 pm I saw a wall like this for the first time the other day in our area. I reckon the H beams are a terrific idea to replace the usual timber sleepers. Added a shine to the wall - which was concrete sleepers and should last much longer than timber. No idea of cost but if it buys more time before needing to be replaced it cant be a bad thing. Cheers Kim Our standard double-glazed window is tested to achieve, Rw 34, and can be glazed to suit Rw 39. The price is good too... 3 9472 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that.
