Our site plans say: Approx 0.9m high @ highest point Approx 1.2m from inside face of wall to brickwork Approx 0.65m from inside face of wall to boundary Would concrete sleepers be the best way to go do you think? From our investigations, the cost of retaining walls will be dependent largely on the site and purpose. Councils have rules on how high a retaining wall can be and where a retaining wall can be placed before it will need an engineered design. For example careful consideration needs to be taken if a wall is right on a fence line due to the forces created by the fence catching wind. Also need to consider that installation is liekly to be a 2 person job because the sleepers themselves are pretty heavy. Around 50kg I believe. There are a couple of companies supplying concrete retaining wall sleepers that I am aware of. Check out Retaining Australia and Real-Crete.
