Here is some in my collection that I would say are a must for anyone My bibles "Flora", published through ABC Gardeniing Australia, like the Sydney yellow pages of plants "What garden pest or disease is that?" I like to have Made Wijaya book as inspiration; 'Tropical Flowering Plants' and 'Tropical and SubTropical Flowering Trees' for reference books. We only have one Australian magazine that is relevant... SubTropical Gardening, and for veggie growing of course Leonie Norrington's book.
