Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 14, 2009 10:08 am Is anyone able to give me some ideas about growing bamboo? I have 2 x approx 40cm black bamboo plants (it's a clumping black) and I have fed and watered it and the bamboo has just gone brown, even dry dead-ish. It has green at the base but not at the top. Anyone got anyideas about different feeds or how I can promote growth? They know things about Bamboo that most humans just couldn't think of Re: Bamboo Help 4Jul 15, 2009 8:24 am Do you know whether it is Bambusa lako (Timor black)? Did you get any cold snap recently? The Timor black doesn't like the cold. If you are after the same black look and more cold tolerant, you should get Gigantochloa atroviolacea (Java black). They do get bigger clump than Timor black, but more robust and I don't think they will grow too big for you down there. They kill the living things in it essential for plant health. Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7931 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12511 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 |
