Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 11, 2009 6:45 pm Hi peeps, Just wondering with retaining walls if they are generally required immediately or can be left for a little while - long story cut short we were suprised with some additional costs which has affected our budget. To build they cut down and the soil sits between 40-60cm high the length of the house (approx 25 metres) and approx 1 metre away from the house itself. We were quoted $5200 to build a timber retaining wall to rectify this. Most blocks are levelled and retained prior to sale Go timber and be looking at spending the same and more in time to come.
