Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 09, 2009 10:38 am We have a cut in the back of our block after the house was built which will need a retaining wall. We are thinking we will need to incorporate a ramp on one side for access to the top section (eg-wheeling the mower, wheel barrow up there). Does anyone else have one-does anyone have any photos of examples of ramps. Please help. Re: Does anyone have a ramp in their garden? 2Jul 10, 2009 3:13 pm I have a similar thing in my backyard. I built a rock retaining wall, and creating the ramp alongside. I used lilydale toppings for the ramp with added cement so I could walk up and down the ramp with the wheelbarrow and mower. It is quite a steep ramp, but after 4 years still looks fine. I'm thinking of doing the same thing myself, but my block may be too long for a ramp. At best, I'm looking at a 1:6 slope 23 Aug 2011: Land settlement 14 Sep 2011: Block levelled 20 Oct 2011: Slab 3 Nov 2011: Frame 10 Feb 2012: Handover http://s1098.photobucket.com/albums/g372/Dazzab6/ Re: Does anyone have a ramp in their garden? 5Oct 19, 2011 9:45 pm Blog is now up - http://www.jbdave.blogspot.com/ Re: Does anyone have a ramp in their garden? 6Oct 20, 2011 2:55 pm Thanks for that.
