Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 03, 2009 10:59 am Hi all, Our new house has a small service passageway along the southern side of the house, which is dark and damp. As two bedrooms have windows on this side of the house, I'm quite keen to grow something there so that the bedrooms don't just look straight onto the fence (and then through the fence palings into the neighbours lounge room). I have no idea what we can grow there as this is our first experience at having a garden, so would love some suggestions! Preferrably looking for something that: - Will grow at least 1.5-2m tall, so you can see it from in bedrooms - Isn't very wide, as the passageway is only 1.5m from house wall to fenceline. - Low light requirements, doesn't mind some degree of wet feet - If at all possible a productive plant (i.e. food producing) would be better than an ornamental. I'll take what I can get however! Re: Plants for cold, dark, wet location 3Jul 03, 2009 11:32 am Ah- yes, that would be helpful!
