Great for landscapers but I can't see why someone looking to plan a new garden couldn't look at attending and really getting a good grasp of materials new and old, plant ideas and latest irrigation technologies and how they are done right Perth is very soon http://www.landscapeexpo.com.au/default.aspx Melbourne is a way away yet http://www.landscapeexpo.com.au/melbourne/overview.aspx Re: Landscape Australia Expo 3Jun 25, 2009 9:54 pm Its in school holidays for me. It says trade only. Do we just turn up anyway? I have a friend who has a nursery in WA for natives. I'll ask him if he can come with me My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 4Jun 25, 2009 9:56 pm Oh, and when you open the link and hover over the Perth date, it says a date in May. I assume you're going Fu, and I assume you also know it hasn't been and gone!? My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 7Jul 08, 2009 8:40 pm Fu, do you know if I can get in without registering to attend, or do I have to register and make up a good title for my name badge (eg. "landscape designer") hehehe There's a "registration" button on the website to attend the expo. I don't want to turn up tomorrow without registering and not be allowed in! My friend called the Landscape Expo people and they said to put me down under his business. So I am now a "nurseryhand"! I feel smarter about plants and stuff already! If you're going tomorrow, I might see you there, Fu! I sure hope your nametag says "Fu Manchu" Otherwise I will use my excellent telepathy skills to hunt you down My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 10Jul 09, 2009 4:01 pm I have just returned from the expo and saw no one with FU MANCHU on their badge There was a lot of plastic grass! However, I did see some good ideas and things I want to follow up. Also got some nice free mags! I caught the train home and had a very heavy bag! My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 11Jul 11, 2009 11:42 pm Fu was the one wearing a tinfoil hat to evade your excellent telepathy skills! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 15Jul 13, 2009 5:10 pm It wasn't bad. From a personal point of view, it gave me a few good ideas, but not more than I would've gotten from here anyway, or by going to a few garden shops. My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Landscape Australia Expo 16Jul 13, 2009 7:58 pm Annie you have given me the idea of posting this up for those who want to learn more about landscaping or to do it themselves. http://www.homebaseexpo.com.au/site/Courses/show/id/10 I know the person who teaches this course and I can only say, you'd be learning from one of the most inspirational people I know in Horticulture I even went and called her today A very good chat we had http://www.inspiredbynature.biz/about.php Think about it, $220 to learn how it is done right yourself or pay hundreds or even thousands for someone to do you a landscape plan. That is value for money Check the other courses available too Re: Landscape Australia Expo 18Sep 30, 2009 1:09 pm Fu Manchu The Australian landscape industry is putting on Expos around Australia. I am looking for a trade show in Perth as I want to exibit our products there on 2010. Is there any stone pavers, stacked stone, water fountains on the show?I understand that it maybe hard for you to tell whether this show is ok or not for these stone products, but could you please let me know your opinions? Thanks a lot for your time in advance. Mike If you don't want to annoy the neighbours then simply get yourself some good head phones. For me the sound is much better using headphones.
