I had a look at it against another paver I've got a sample of which is a very light sandstone colour, and up against that it isn't very light at all ...... maybe I will be ok with it stain and glare wise........ Wait till DH gets home and see what he thinks. He still hasn't seen any of them in daylight which makes it hard thanks so much everyone for your replies ... keep them coming "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 28May 19, 2009 2:27 pm Driftwood looks the best. Blends in with the brickwork. You can use various colours of multch or dress pebbles in your garden beds to contrast the pavers. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 29May 19, 2009 3:01 pm thanks Space Designs. I am happy we chose the Driftwood. EXCEPT! We have changed pavers now after all that! Now we are going with Classicstone, but I have picked a colour very close to the Driftwood (it's called Willow) so am very happy with that too. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 30May 19, 2009 3:17 pm Classicstone make good pavers. Have you thought about using a larger paver eg 400mm to 500mm paver. The larger the paver the bigger the area looks. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 31May 19, 2009 3:18 pm yes, we're getting 500x500 ones, I love the look of the larger sizes "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Usually they are made to order as well, so you have to pre-order your pavers, caps etc sometimes 6 weeks in advance. I would steer clear of the cheaper ones like c & m, boral, bunnings dyi variety, they may be cheaper but you get what you pay for. Back when I did weekenders before branching out on my own I used them but as you find other brands they take preference. It's nice not to get 10 broken ones each pallet too! Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 33May 20, 2009 1:51 pm donuts Thanks everyone for helping me with this. We are picking Driftwood Great choice donuts - I was going to vote for Driftwood too! Look forward to seeing how it all turns out as I would like a similar color for our alfresco area as well. Built PD Beaumont 35 - One year down in the new house.. still so much to do.. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 35Jun 29, 2009 5:13 pm Any chance you could post a picture of the final product Donuts?? I'd love to see what your place looks like with the paving all finished. Fence, paving, retaining wall - CHECK! Still so much more to do..... Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 36Jun 29, 2009 6:17 pm Hi Bella09, I am on super slow internet connection at the moment so I'll see how I go... I think I will be able to post the images but not see them myself... so let me know if they don't work! These are before the sand went in between the pavers. I haven't taken any since they were completely finished (how slack!). I'll try to take some tomorrow and post them up too. I think the first 2 are of the courtyard bit and the last one is of a path. The colour is Classicstone Willow. Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 39Jun 29, 2009 9:18 pm That looks fantastic! Great choice of colour! One small question though, are you absolutely sure you've used Willow? I'm looking at the Classicstone colours on a paving website and your pavers don't look anything like the Willow pictured on there....could they actually be Ashmont instead? I'm totally confused! http://www.paveworld.com.au/product/Pavers,258,189.aspx Fence, paving, retaining wall - CHECK! Still so much more to do..... Re: Which colour paver should I choose? 40Jun 29, 2009 9:19 pm They are very nice alright. Looks a treat i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16009 hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20911 I've decided, after a period of confusion (my building broker told me it's probably not worth it to use a lawyer, but others have said it is a must) that I definitely will… 7 27953 |
