Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 21, 2009 8:29 am Hi - brand new here and to gardening/landscaping. Was wondering if I could get some advice in laymens terms please I decided to place some edging along our entrance path (which is paved) only to find that the concrete that the pavers has been layed on - extends outwards for about 10cm - therefore I cannot get the edging to sit right against the pavers. Is there anything I can do?????? The concrete is only about 2 cm under the surface - so am struggling to find any edging that will stay in place. Hope this makes sense. Thanking you very much in advance. Re: Trouble edging due to concrete next to pavers 2Apr 21, 2009 8:45 am the edges are normally bedded in after the pavers are laid and it stops them from spreading or shifting so it depends on what sort of edging you want to put in. you can knock the cement off and add your own edging and then rebed it or you could also use small clay edgers and cement them over the top. if you use rocks for example, they can just take the place of the edging cement. Easy as but takes a while. If your lucky you will get big lengths off by using a spade under it. I won’t do sand under pavers and will connect all up under pavers, however I was going to do: 1) Roadbase compacted with manual hand tamper 2)… 10 18575 Those span tables can be pushed a little for a low deck if you dont mind a little flex.
