Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 4Apr 20, 2009 5:58 pm I have searched and there was no clear answer on this subject, the last person who questioned it never got a reply. As for "Punch NextGen Landscape Design", Punch seem to make good software but I think this is made for USA gardeners. I'm looking for a local software solution that will also include all the local native plants etc. enjoy your life! Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 5Apr 20, 2009 6:01 pm I'll have a squiz for ya and see Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 6Apr 20, 2009 6:20 pm Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 7Apr 20, 2009 7:38 pm thanks Fu but none of them have made it clear on a good software for Australia. This is why I wanted to start a new thread and get some feedback and see what is available locally. I hope we can come to some conclusions as it seems many people are looking for a suitable landscape design package that will work for Australia planting and conditions. I don't mind paying for quality either and free software is not what I'm really looking for. enjoy your life! They have a really good support base too. If you're still looking I have some contacts I could ask about more user-friendly progs? Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 15May 18, 2009 11:29 pm From my own research it looks like landscape pros use AutoCAD and plugins. I'm a bit surprised there is no really high end pro specialty landscape software on the market. enjoy your life! Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 17May 18, 2009 11:50 pm Fu Manchu didn't Davinci post one? Yes but that is part of Cad from what I understand, I thought there would be specialist landcape software but I'm sure that is great too. enjoy your life! Re: Australian Landscape/Garden Design Software 18May 19, 2009 3:27 pm AutoCad and Vector works are the leading software for landscape designers. Those cheaper software programs just dont have the ability to design good layouts with the correct sizing and scales. davinci may be cheaper to pay a designer than purchase for a one of project I think you hit the nail on the head. Having a good landscape design will add huge value to the property especially when it comes to plant selection and finishes.
