Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 18, 2009 6:03 pm Got a bit careless with the ride on mower today and managed to cut a layer of bark off the trunk of my young Mango tree. The portion of bark removed is about 10mm wide and 100mm high and it is the full layer of bark right down to the wood. It is at a level about 100mm from the ground and the diameter of the trunk is only about 300mm. Do I need to do anything, or should I just leave it? Any advice appreciated. It can make you feel sick almost. step one is a bloody good dose of Seasol You can repair the damage with some steri-prune. It comes as a spray or in a tin to paint on. wrapping the stem in budding tap may also do the job. Put a heap of sheep poo round it and some blood and bone too. Seasol once a week for four weeks, then every month. Even once it is better, keep using it Re: Help, I've injured my Mango 4Apr 19, 2009 11:45 pm They sure can!
