Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 12, 2009 2:23 pm Hi there, I'd love some really huge pots in our garden as a focal point but the big ones are so expensive, so I have been toying with the idea of making my own. I'm thinking I might give hypertufa a go (a light cement mix), but was wondering whether plaster of paris would be a viable option as well? It' pretty tough, but I imagine might possibly be a bit brittle. I'm also wondering whether it would be safe for plants... Any advice or ideas greatly appreciated... I really like the idea of reconstituted sandstone but have no idea whether that is achievable by do-it-yourselfers. Plus, I imagine that could be a bit more costly than hypertufa in any case.
