Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Re: Fruit Trees 2Mar 17, 2007 12:47 pm Established fruit trees don't require a lot of work...just keeping up the watering (amount will depend on the type of tree), pruning if required & thinning out fruit if required (depends on the tree). Some trees...especially citrus...need a bit of feeding to produce really good crops whereas others, eg feijoa, are happy to be left alone.
Do you know what sort of trees you have? As for the dead one...I'm not sure the best way to go about saving it if it's savable (I have a few ideas but I'm sre someone a bit more competant will be able to give you better direction) but it might be worth considering whether it's really worth saving &, if not, replace it with something you want in the garden - less effort & the fruit will probably be more welcome because it's something you've chosen & invested time in.
