Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 19, 2009 6:57 am Its somethink I have just thought about.
Have to decide if I going to stick with a tradional metal one or maybe buy a concrete one and paint it charcoal. Or I could be really daring and build something completely different and funky! Maybe cover it will stack stone or build a column and have a water or light feature in the top instead of the usual planter box! How about you guys has anybody got a really out there mail box. Thought this would be a fun thread we may see some amazing individual ones I would still like to see the "normal" ones too. Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: Whats your mail box like?????? 2Mar 19, 2009 7:12 am mine will just be a brick one with the same bricks as the house.. so nothing special.. will post a photo when it gets built! Re: Whats your mail box like?????? 3Mar 19, 2009 7:40 am I'm going to get a concrete one that you can get from Bunnings or your local gardening centre and then paint it to match the house.
Ooooh I wonder if I get it before the render is painted if they will paint it for me?? 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Re: Whats your mail box like?????? 8Mar 19, 2009 1:31 pm I fell in love with this designed one from an old Homeone thread, so copied
I used the colours of my house and put the round hole on the bottom right, number on other bottom and a larger letter hole on the top middle. I'm happy how it came up. Used leftover bricks from the build.
