Award-winning, I don't think I'll be able to afford that! Is there another place that does them, or only this place?
Cheers. Re: Help find this garden light/ornament 5Mar 11, 2009 11:03 am They are really expensive, ridiculously expensive. We have a garden design place here in Newy (I feel I have said this before many moons ago) and for two panels it was about $3000 or maybe more, but very nice. Thanks Su Backlit metal sculpture may be another way of doing it...our local nursery has flat metal sculptures ($100 to $150-ish from memory)...similar motifs...which you could mount on a painted blueboard and then use a garden uplight or light from behind...kind of the "negative"... ...or if you're hand with a jigsaw I'm sure you could cut an image out in ply, paint and backlight that... mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Help find this garden light/ornament 8Mar 11, 2009 4:34 pm Someone a while back posted a picture of a garden light/ornament that was steel with cutout sections. It wasn't this site was it? http://www.entanglements.com.au/_RAGE-02-wall-art.html Re: Help find this garden light/ornament 10Mar 11, 2009 5:09 pm nope though some lovely things there. It was more of a light box. Made of steel with cutout bits. In my head I remember thinking I'd love something like that for near my front door as a garden light/entry statement. it was definately an outdoor thing. I remember commenting on the post about it. I tried searching all my posts and had no luck. Re: Help find this garden light/ornament 11Mar 11, 2009 6:40 pm I'm sure you could make one just as you said:)
Timber frame, some white perspex, some flouro battens inside and draw a design up and get it cut at a sheet metal place. Get a electrician to wire it in. Re: Help find this garden light/ornament 12Apr 02, 2009 9:20 pm I would definitely try to make it. You can buy rust paint for inside walls (not sure if there is an alternative for outside, but sure there would be. Get some steel, trace on it, punch some holes, wack in a light, would be well worth the effort! Hi - thanks for your reply. Yes I think 'Ill go for whitish with very speckly bits rather than pure white something like this. Did you discuss the wet area near the trampoline? 16 17417 It might be a bit darker in the mornings but the light is still light, so you should be getting it.
