Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 02, 2009 8:22 pm Hi Guys would love to get your input. We have finished replaceing our retaining wall and side fence down one side of the house. (Sorry photos show when we first started with the fence a few weeks back, I need to go out and take some more) When we had the building and pest evulation when we brought the house he suggested to put some drainage as water is coming from next doors level down to our house, it also does not get much sun, when we first brought the house the older owners had some ugly termite prone shade strcuture from the gutter to the fence which we removed as per building and pest evualtion and because it was ugly.
Anyway we have decided to make this side of the house a path with large stepping stones with pebbles around it, we wish to put the long drainage snap together pieces from bunnings not against the house but alittle bit away from the house. Everything has to be termporary as we wish to do some renoavtions inside with adding in a new bathroom and all the pipe work is down this side of the house.... we were thinking of cementing it but then we wouldhave to rip it up later down the track. Has anyone used this drainage system before? if so how good is it? Also have no idea on what colour stones to get , I'm planning on having some pots on the ground and hanging baskets off the fence down here, to add some colour too... any advice or pictures would be most helpful. Thanks Re: Garden path area down side of house 4Mar 04, 2009 9:59 pm well that is at my place and it is dead easy to use. when i had to cut things shorter than the modular system allows I just "sikaflexed" an end cap on where I wanted it.
All 90mm storm water pipe connects to it. ...incase someone asks, that soakwell lid is shallow but I couldn't get it any deeper with cap rock under the soakwell 300mm is the normal depth, deeper is better.
