Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 17, 2009 7:57 pm I know many of you over east have to rely on sprinklers for watering when needed. (they aren't used so much here in the west) I also know that right now buying wetting agents and sprinklers to click onto the hose is getting difficult due to lack of supply for retail outlets.
Here is a good option that is water efficient and emits a measured amount of water every minute (unlike any other sprinkler) http://www.wobble-tee.com.au/ Now these maybe hard to find so you can easily make your own by buying a sprinkler spike at a hardware outlet that clicks onto the hose. These are also sold at some irrigation shops. Then go to an irrigation shop and you can get these "wobblers" through HR products from any irrigation shop. (they may have to order some for you but any shop can do it) (Get 5 ltr/min nozzle to go inside it) They sell for around about $10, screw it onto the sprinkler spike, plug the hose on and bam-o, a cheap sprinkler that is far more waterwise than anything you will buy in a shop. you will be able to move it around where ever you like Should cover about 4 metres and works on both high and low water pressure. *For those with existing irrigation, then you can replace butterfly or impact sprinklers with these. They will use about %60 less water than butterfly or impact sprinklers with a more effective coverage. In otherwords more water will go in the ground and less in the air compared with butterflys and impacts.
