Looking for ideas to smarten up a standard wooden fence. The only things I can think of are: Paint - cheap and can be effective Bamboo - how will the top look? Creating a frame is not an option in my instance Brush-type covering - dunno what it's called exactly but it looks a little old fashioned to me Steel/metal - too expensive and I'd rather not annoy the neighbours Any other thoughts?! Painting a bold colour gives the garden and fence a fresher lool. Daring but effective. Would need some appropriate planting around it though!!
