That,s great to hear that your maples did well...maybe I,ll put mine back where I had it before...it,s just that all of it,s leaves went crispy and it really looked like it might die.....it,s been in a big pot for years so it might have been a shock for it to suddenly be planted in the ground Hi Fu Manchu It,s a small world isn,t it Do you know which church he lives near as there,s 4 of them...we live near one of them. I found that hot, windy days made some of the leaves, especially on the tips, go all crisp and crunchy, but the next season they'd grow back fine. Maybe have a look around your area and see if you can spot one that's doing well and see which way it faces.
