Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 19, 2009 9:11 am I have progressively stripped out most of the grass in the backyard and replaced it with a very soft Munns "golfcourse green" mix (includes a lot of Kentucky Bluegrass I believe).
Anyway, it grows marvellously well, looks great, and I'm very happy. But colver just seems to love the yard now. I'm forever ripping the stuff out. If I wasn't always on patrol I'm sure it'd take over. Why is the clover going nuts ? Is there some imbalance I need to address ? Do the hard jobs first. Clover sorted short term. Long term is that the lawn maybe newish and still not totally dominant. Use lots of organic feeds, the more the merrier. Ones like Munns Golf course green or Munns organic garden fertilise/booster. Seasol, powerfeed are important. Molasses in a watering can a few times a year will do well to boost the micro organisims in the soil to help the lawn be stronger. Blood and bone that stinks is very good too over sew again with the Munns if you want of course Re: Why have I got a clover farm ? 5Jan 20, 2009 1:08 am Thanks Fu I've got seasol, munns fertiliser and more seed in the shed !
