Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 09, 2009 2:45 pm I have just finished building a water wall and i need to get it waterproofed as there is a pond at the bottom which is made of brick, my question is does anyone know of a person/company in perth that could do this kind of thing?
cheers Re: Another water feature question 2Jan 09, 2009 3:37 pm My only suggestion would be to phone watergarden world and see who they would recommend.
not certain they can help out but it's my only idea Re: Another water feature question 3Jan 10, 2009 5:36 pm You can do it yourself. Buy a bucket of "pitch" (that's what it looks like but is water miscible) from Bunnings and paint it on. The version to waterproof objects that will hold water costs about $200 for ~10 litres - will cover 20 sq m. I know because I just did this for a retaining wall we put up. Can buy in smaller amounts if your job is smaller.
Its not clear from your post if you have to prepare the pond as well. If so, I think the major problem you will have is ensuring the entire surface of the pond is coated, and this depends on how much extraneous concrete the brickies left on the inside of the wall, especially at ground level. Hope this helps. PS Just went to have a look - the brand is called "GRIPSET" and is described as a waterproofing agent. You will want the version in the red bucket. Re: Another water feature question 4Jan 11, 2009 12:07 am I've used a paint on membrane called PONDCRETE. Pretty sure it's from the makers of bondcrete. It can be used on wood (wine barrels etc) or cement type ponds.
It's available in a few colours to. (we used a nice light blue colour) Bought it from a pond N fish store (then seen it $10 cheaper at Bunnings) Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
