Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 22, 2008 5:55 pm Hi guys,
Im in the middle of fixing up my back yard. I've got a retaining wall running the whole lenth around my garden. About 30 meters. the problem is untill recently I had garden beds running around the bottom of the retaining wall and a small lawn. My doggs love digging and im not one for gardening so I decided to path the whole area. When the paver people flattened out all the sand and paved it has left a 1.5 - 3 inch gap under the retaining wall so it doesnt meet the pavers. It gets bigger and smaller as it goes around. Obviously the sand is pouring out that gap onto my pavers which defeats the purpose of getting rid of the garden beds in the first place. The wall is one of those limestone or lime stone look ones with pillars that have slats of lime stone slid into them. They are concreted in place. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fill that gap with out having to digg out the whole thing? I was thinking making the sand damp and trying to dig out a groove at the bottom and pushing some cream concrete into the gap but dont know if that will work. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5140 Thanks for your reply! All valid points and I agree with you on many of them. I am in QLD, any recommendations on a construction lawyer would be helpful 3 2628 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16104 |
