Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 17, 2008 9:15 pm Does anyone know of a good, fast tree removal company? Our builder remarked on the lack of storage space at our site, and then I realised that there was a tree that was approved for removal that, once gone, would leave him with lots of room. Our slab got poured today, and the frame is arriving on Friday. I'd like the tree gone tomorrow. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it.

I am in the North Shore and it is dizzying how many options there are. Any recommendations? I have a tree requiring removal and stump grinding. Also after some seed pods and fronds removed from a tall fern tree thing. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 4May 12, 2009 6:20 pm Try Fastcalltrees 1800 800 206. They will come quick for the quote and the price is unbeatable. We used them twice, each time they are the cheapest , fastest and best service. I would recommend them any day. We had almost 8 trees removed, one large Jacaranda and it only cost us $800. They had 6 guys and finished in 2 hours. Oh, they do free stump grinding as well. It is the single most waterwise and fertiliser wise mulch you can use. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 9May 14, 2009 9:52 pm And make sure the company has lots of insurance cover, just in case... a large Eucalypt was felled on a property I had an interest in, and was the last straw for the ageing (and badly designed and constructed) retaining wall... but made abfab mulch. I saw Sammy's recommendation (I am in Hornsby too) and have tried Fastcalltrees for the last 2 days! yep, have left about 3-4 voicemails and have sent an email and NOTHING, they haven't got back to me yet... I wonder if they are still in business as going by your comments Sammy they should be more reliable... By the way Judie, did you find someone? who did you end up using? We only used him a month or so ago (can't remember exact date). They responded quite fast. We are in Hornsby council as well, upper north shore. I believe they are based in Kellyville. They used to do land clearing and council work. Try tomorrow, they work Sat as well. I know because we are on a busy road, and they came to remove a massive dead tree for us on Saturday- less traffic. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 13May 15, 2009 10:17 pm Thanks Sammy, I will give Dave a try tomorrow, I think I did try the mobile phone No. that was on the website but can't remember if it was this one. We've got a quote from a place called Bradshaw tree services, they are based at Pymble, the guy went to our block and checked out our tree and quoted us $750 + GST incl. stump grinding. Our tree is a gum tree of about 9m in height, does this seem like a reasonable quote? Hi esm, we will actually be building in Mt Colah, which is 5 mins up from Hornsby, we live in Hornsby at the moment. Are you building in Hornsby itself? Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 15May 16, 2009 2:46 pm Not sure abput the price, but give David a call anyway. We had a Jacaranda removed, it was huge plus all other trees- basically I told him to clear everything and grind all stumps. It was $800. Another guy came and look and quote me $1600. I was sooo shock. He told me he can't do it cheaper than $800, he will match it, grudgingly, but he said it was not worth it for him to do cheaper. So I know David is the cheapest around. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 16May 16, 2009 3:56 pm Thanks Sammy. I have tried David again and it was the same mobile number that I called during the week. Rang out and then went to voicemail again... maybe he is on holidays at the moment! The price this guy gave us was just for the one tree but it's pretty high (about 9m)... If I haven't heard back from David on Monday I might have to go with this guy as he was very nice and went to inspect the tree straight away... Was very friendly about it and cleaned up their mess. They also helped out with some random clean up of the garden as they went which I found very thoughtful. They matched the best quote I found so that was great! So give Matt a call on 0415 809 798 and see if his friend can help you out. He is coming back to grind the stump of my tree next week. Feel free to mention that Michael from Roseville recommended you. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 20May 18, 2009 9:31 pm Thanks Vascariz! I finally got an email back from fastcalltrees too so they were going to look at the tree today or tomorrow.
