Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 19, 2008 7:25 am My DH wants to construct a blueboard screening wall at the rear of our home.
Essentially he wants it to look like a rendered brick wall on the side facing the street but on the side facing the garden it will be one panel render wall one panel wooden slats (if you get what I mean) in about 5 sections so it looks rendered wooden rendered wooden rendered. He has heard of paint he can use to create a rendered look rather than actual render. I believe he is going to construct a frame to adhere the blueboard and slats to. Just after any advice or tips on products or places to go for info or things to look our for. Thanks Re: blueboard render look wall 2Nov 19, 2008 8:39 am I think Bunnings stock a paint that you can paint over brick work to give it a rendered look. There was some discussion on the paint but cant remember where it was. Do a search it should come up. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it. W.C. Fields Brought Established. Re: blueboard render look wall 3Nov 19, 2008 4:28 pm Dulux - Texture paint
You can get it in fine, medium or full texture (which I think is designed around brickwork and what sort of look you want - ie. do you want the mortar lines to show through). Easily goes onto blueboard. It's a great product (albeit a bit expensive) but I think cheap in comparison to render?? Not sure of that one so please don't hold me to it. I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me. I have a few rendered interior walls, the surface condition is hardly flat. I can see all the bumps… 0 7961 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11576 |
