I know of a very high profile Horticutural media personality that promotes Buffalo but if you talk to this person off the record they suggest Empire Zoysia

I agree from what I've read the EZ is overall softer and easier to maintain. I had narrowed my choice down to EZ or Nara Zoysia given I have enough sun. I am probably going to go with the Nara which seems to have near identical properties to the EZ except that it is possibly finer leaf, slightly different colour and of course a native. I think it is also meant to be marginally faster growing than EZ but slower than buffalos. |
