Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 10, 2026 8:57 pm Hi, we just got a new lapped fence installed. About half of the fence, about 18 metres, has lots of mold on it and looks quite discoloured, see photos. We were told by the installer new wood sometimes just gets like that in Qld when stored, it is normal and we can just wash it off. We understand that part, but is it truly "normal" to install it like that and tell the customer they have to just accept it and clean it themselves ? It doesn't sound right. Any advice appreciated.
