Hey,
I'm wanting to make an above ground pond that will sit on our patio, it will be 2m x 1m x 60cm high. I'm just wanting to run a few things by people to verify my thoughts.
The patio slab is connected to the house and I dug down on the edge and it's 20cm thick, and I'll only be filling the pond to 40cm, so pretty sure the slab should hold no worries.
I can get hardwood sleepers H4 that are 200mm x 50mm x 3m, figured I'd cut off ~1m from each and that would make the length and width.
I found these galvanised corner holders that I figured would work for the edges. Then I was going to put 2 sleeper off cuts 200mm x 50mm x 600mm to strengthen the front and back, about and 1 off cut on each side, see wireframe.

From here, I'd paint plywood with an epoxy paint and mount them on the inside

Then I'd paint with a potable safe bitumen water proofing membrane.
It will sit straight on the patio tiles to spread the load evenly.
It will hold around 650L of water.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
