Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 28, 2024 12:34 pm Hi all, Need some ideas for my east facing front yard. There are a few elements where the landscaping needs to take into account: There is a slight slope forward with steps going to the porch. It's the most sloped on the left of the land where there is a 1m easement and large grate. There is an underwater rainwater tank which takes up 2/3 of the main space. Letterbox is temporary and will be incorporated into the fence line. Also open to types of fence ideas. Questions: Is it ideal to avoid planting trees near the rainwater tank? We are supposed to plant two trees at the front but I am find it hard to look for a space due to the easement and rainwater tank. Where is the best spot for the council tree to go? We need to add soil to the left side of the house to level it up, but due to the grate how do we incorporate that level? I am thinking to have a step where the end of the fence is, or is there a better looking solution? Would it look better if the last two steps were removed and the concrete to curve and join the driveway?
