Retaining Wall on Easement?

I'm confused....my backyard got 3m easement and I would like it flat so thinking to have approx. 800mm retaining wall 1m from the fence on the easement...the easement is for sewer line....do I need any permit? How do I go about it?

In Victoria if that helps.

Depends what council you're in, but you should seek advice from your local council - an 800mm retaining wall to that effect will most likely require engineering details and the easement for sewer further complicates things - so your best bet is to contact someone at your local council for advice (Definitely don't start any work prior to this, it can cause issues down the track otherwise).

Thanks - yea sounds like I need to submit build over easement application....ugh guess I better start finding someone who can do the engineering drawings
