As title suggests, looking at using the interlocking Pentablock stacked stone products to replace failing timber retaining wall.
Love the clean look of the blocks - no steel posts, no gap lines between sleepers etc.
Also love that I don't have to render the finish unlike traditional blocks
And the appeal of a quick install and the additional strength on offer is pretty strong!
I do have concerns re water seeping through as concrete is obviously porous, thinking of putting water proofing membrane on the back side of the blocks for retaining wall, likely overkill as if installed correctly the water and soil should not be pushing up against the wall but figure for the cost of a tin or two it won't hurt??
Love to hear form anyone who's used
