Okay, this might be a long one and I will try to shorten it down.
Our builders cut our site, upon an initial cut, they realised they didn’t get the slope of the driveway correct. (they didn’t do their own survey and relied on a previously given one).
They then recut the site, to lower the land even more.
This has led to a significant wall on the boundary of the two houses.
Because they recut the site lower, the wall now sits potentially over 1m on the boundary. This has council implications.
My question is, how did the developer not put in any provisions for this to start with, and then at any point are the builders responsible in any way.
And then because it’s a boundary and holding up the higher land, should the costs be shared between houses as it benefits both lands now.
This is a huge ordeal and trying to find a trade for this job is not easy. Is there a solution ?
Any advice at all... the last two photos were a reference for what we want the finished product to look like.
