Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 06, 2021 10:35 pm Got the keys to our new house and now getting landscaping finalised so that we can get Full OC ASAP. The Landscape plan on our CDC from before we started the build (Apr 2021), looks like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ A bit blurry, but essentially, the plan is so bare, it doesn’t even tell us what kind of plants or turf or anything else we are allowed to do. The same certifier who did the CDC approval will approve our Full OC. Their requirements indicate that we should follow the landscape plan, and that if any changes are required, we must submit a new plan. What’s unclear to me are: 1. What defines a “change” when the plan is pretty much a blank slate. - If I wanted to put pavers and pebbles on the side access, do I need to get their approval because it is not indicated so in the plan that I would be using pavers and pebbles? - If I wanted part gravel/part turf in my backyard, is this considered a change that requires approval? - Should my plan show where I want to put the mailbox, wheelie bins, and clothesline? OR Can I just do anything I want and ask permission/forgiveness later? Re: What does this landscape plan mean? 2Dec 07, 2021 11:44 am That doesn’t look like a landscape plan to me, but a site plan, which would have an entirely different purpose than what you are looking for. Is there something I am not seeing that makes you think it is a landscape plan? And would the landscaper/contractor generally involve the engineer or is that something the client would do? Thanks for your help 2 10264 |
