I have a narrow and long side yard with 3 yard drain along its length. I haven't cut down the yard drain pipe that sticks out to length just yet as I figured I'll need to fill in low spots and roughly grade the ground so surface water would flow towards the yard drains.
Advice from landscaping yards have been to use either road base or crusher dust as fill, compacted and graded. But advice from threads here is to use non permeable fill (clay).
So now what I'm trying to figure out is:
1. Is crusher dust or road base a good substitute for fill material even though they are permeable?
2. If not, where in Brisbane can you get clay fill soil that's clean (no rocks and/or rubbles) as I haven't found any landscaping yards that sell them?
Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.
