I have this ugly rock retaining wall in my backyard. It is fairly solid and is composed of sandstone, pieces of concrete, and mortar. It is used to retain some of our upper yard area and hide some decommissioned septic tanks.
I would like to cover it up or beautify it somehow.
My budget is around 5-6k. I don’t want to rebuild it as it will have to be engineered and will require a DA due to height. Also, access to my lot is a bit difficult so heavy machinery is not an option.
I am considering whether I could build a semi-frame around it with timber and then line it with FC sheets. The other alternative I have heard but don't know much about is to fill it with Shotcrete or some other sprayed concrete solution. Does anyone have any experience with that or have a better idea?
