LETTERBOXES!! SHOW US WHAT YOU'VE GOT?

I have driven past a house several times that has a fabulous metal letterbox. It looks unique and like it has been handcrafted.

I'm trying to work up the courage to knock on the owners door to find out where they purchased it . :oops:

They have a modern brightly painted red & chocolate rendered house so we have a bit in common I think :wink:

yes I know ... I love the pics ... but I keep forgetting to take the camera and I can hardly knock on their door, ask them where they bought it AND borrow their camera :wink:

Noticed today at our prehandover inspection that the letterbox matches the garage...bit naff....but I don't mind it...

Just ring any of the stainless manufacturuers and they will make one up for you - just be sitting donw when you get the price.

I reckon one of these in that new letterbox will look just perfect :wink:

I checked out the price and it's around 500 (not too bad considering). Main issue will be getting them to vary it slightly so we don't have the same one as the ppl up the street :wink:

Hi I am thinking of asking the brickie to lay the following brick letterbox. do you think it is a good idea to have a plant beside the letterbox? Moisture problems?

We have a planter arrangement which we thought was a good idea at the time....nothing grows in it...and along with spiders (as per AB)...you get ants and snails...may not be related to the planter but I wouldn't do it again.

I can post of photo if you are interested.

PS....I painted the planter with a moisture barrier....no idea what it was but the hardware/paint shop can help.
